The 50 units will be based on the Discovery SE variant but come fitted with additional features to serve as a value entry to its wide range. The 50 units will come standard with LED headlights and rain-sensing wipers on the exterior and will see the addition of a sunroof, power inner tailgate, roof rails and keyless entry. The interior which offers a 10-speaker Enhanced Sound System, 12-way leather seats and InControl Touch Navigation with Apple CarPlay and Terrain Response as standard will now benefit from the third-row seating, a centre console cooler, ebony headlining and second seating row USB ports.

Certainly one of the key differences to this Discovery is the new SD4 Ingenium Diesel engine which offers up 177 kW and 430 N.m of torque. The new motor comes mated to a standard 8-speed automatic transmission. The new engine will enable the Discovery to complete the sprint to 100km/h in just 8.7 seconds while promising an average fuel consumption return of 6.4L/100km. This value offering includes Land Rover’s standard five-year/100 000km maintenance plan and warranty.

Should you opt for this model, you can either have it finished in Fuji White or Indus Silver and can expect to pay R1 240 700
