Five training tips from a local body builder

Here are some tips to get the most out of your training.

Alberton Record asked local up and coming bodybuilder Peace Tsotetsi for some tips on training:

1. Firstly always make sure you do warm-up exercises for your muscles to be ready. This will help avoid unnecessary injuries.

2. When you are focused on muscle building make sure to stay fit. Do cardio activities like running to help with the functioning of your cardiovascular system.

3. When you are training make sure to focus on your breathing. When you are lifting a weight, for example, exhale when you put it down. Then when you prepare to lift it up again inhale.

4. Always test your stamina by doing supersets. Do as many reps as you can when you are lifting or when running keep increasing your speed each minute until you can’t handle it. This will show you where your stamina is at.

5. One of the most important key factors, when you are training, is to be mentally fit as well. Remember your mind is so powerful it has the power to control your body. Always be positive about doing as much as you can.
