VIDEOS: ComicEx here to stay

Those who attended dressed up as their favourite comic-characters and enjoyed a variety of activities.

MALL of the South proudly hosted the first-ever ComicEx, an international renowned event, on December 2 and 3.

WATCH:

People of all kinds showed up to witness the event. As this was the first annual event, there were of course not as many people as there would be at an international event. However, those who attended dressed up as their favourite comic characters and enjoyed a variety of activities.

HAVING FUN: Josh du Toit and Giovanni Gambale explore the gaming section of the event.

These activities included live-action role-play games, cosplay, arcade gaming, paintball, a movie theatre to enjoy as they pleased, free Wi-Fi access (compliments of Easyweb) as well as comic book and merchandise stalls.

WATCH:

Those who gave their best effort to dress up, were rewarded with double tickets to the Gold Reef City theme park, as well as meal vouchers from South Dakota Spur, Mochachos and Rocomamas.

SUPERHERO FAMILY: Ethan Herzenberg with his parents, Darren Herzenberg and Charlene Herzenberg.

Mall of the South would like to extend their thanks to everyone who attended and supported the event. Some of these included Quarto Holdings Security and Guardian Angels Security, Water King, House of Salim and Thaba Eco Hotel.

FAMILY TIME: Front: Jordan Ryan, Liam Adams and Leecharne Adams. Back: Chantelle Adams and Lee Adams.

The mall looks forward to hosting the second ComicEx next year and to entertain and impress an even bigger audience.
