Amityville: The Awakening (13 HLV)
This new horror-thriller traces the roots of the well-known haunted house legend. “Every house has a history. This one has a legend,” states the film’s tagline. Belle, her little sister and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in a bid to save money to pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house, including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her mother isn’t telling her everything, and before long realises they have just moved into the infamous Amityville house. Get ready for cold shivers and goosebumps with this movie – perfect entertainment if you are in the mood for some scary-movie chills.
