This week sees the release of new highly anticipated movies at Nu Metro The Glen.
FOUR new movies start showing at Nu Metro The Glen this week. Two of the new releases are in the spirit of Halloween, along with a romantic drama in the luxury in-cinema dining VIP cinema at the complex as well as a spectacular ‘extreme weather’ blockbuster in 3D in the fully immersive Xtreme cinema (featuring powerful 360-degree sound on one of Johannesburg’s largest cinema screens).
Geostorm (10-12PG LV)
The thrilling new ‘natural disaster’ action adventure, Geostorm, tracks events after an unprecedented series of natural disasters threaten the planet, forcing the world’s leaders to come together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe. But now, something has gone wrong. The system built to protect the Earth is attacking it and it’s a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide ‘geostorm’ wipes out everything and everyone along with it. Dean Devlin (writer/producer of Independence Day) makes his feature film directorial debut with suspense thriller Geostorm ,starring Gerard Butler in the leading role and also featuring Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Andy Garcia.

Tyler Perry’s Boo 2! A Madea Halloween (16L)
This new comedy horror from Tyler Perry sees the return of his very popular and signature Madea character. Madea, Bam and Hattie venture to a haunted campground and the group must literally run for their lives when monsters, goblins and the bogeyman are unleashed. It promises to be another laugh-out-loud outing to the movies with this one packed with a few spooky thrills.

Happy Death Day (10-12PG)
A college student relives the day of her murder again and again with both its unexceptional details and its terrifying end until she discovers her killer’s identity. Happy Death Day is a horror thriller from the producers of Get Out, The Purge and The Visit and is ideal for those looking for a scary movie to give them some goosebumps while munching on boxes of popcorn.
