NEW 7 JOIN Alberton Toastmasters Club for better listening, thinking and speaking skills. They meet every first and third Thursday of the month. NEW 13 PROBUS Club for senior citizens will gather on September 13 at 10.30am for 11am. Come and join them as they will be celebrating Spring by meeting at the Dragonfly Lapa, Rietvlei Zoo Farm. Entrance fee to the lapa is R10 for pensioners, no booking required, just arrive and enjoy. Beverly Ann Small from the Heritage Society will chat about the heritage of Alberton. 30 LEARN how to defend yourself with Brackenhurst Seester Gemeente’s woman group. They will be hosting a self-defence class as part of their yearly fundraising effort. Attend this class and be prepared for any life-threatening situations. The class will take place on September 30 at the Seester Gemeente, corner of Nasturtium and Eva Streets, Brackenhurst from 9am to 1pm. Entry fees are R100 per person.
