Horror reaches new heights with this new chapter from the universe of The Conjuring – going back in time to retrace the origins of the terrifying storyline. Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a doll maker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. Soon, they become the target of the doll maker’s possessed creation, ‘Annabelle’. This is one of those movies which will either make you scream out loud with fright or force you to cover your eyes.
Detroit (16 LPV)

Rolling Stone magazine hails Detroit as a ‘masterpiece and one of the best and most important films of the year’. Starring John Boyega from Star Wars-fame in the lead role, this widely acclaimed film follows the true story of one of the darkest moments during the American civil unrest, which rocked Detroit in the summer of 1967. It is a film which packs a powerful punch of emotion and social conscience, dramatising an important tale from human rights-history with universal impact (and relevance).
