Top local DJs and artists collaborate for Soul Train at Carnival City

CARNIVAL City’s Sun Park will provide the stage for an eclectic mix of authentically South African artists and bands collaborating for an outdoor music festival, Soul Train, on August 5.

The ‘chilled’ outdoor session will take place from 11am to 11pm and will feature DJs and artists performing diverse music genres, including Afro pop, R&B, Soul, Afro jazz and old classic House. Revellers are encouraged to dress to the theme of white and yellow.

The event, organised by the makers (M & S Events) of themed music picnics such as The All White, Hawaii and Easter picnics in Ekuhuleni and Heidelberg, promises stellar entertainment under an African sky. On the bill for the festival is Sands, known for hit songs such as ‘Tigi’ and ‘Vuma’; Nigerian artist, Eternal Wa Afrika, and well known DJs from Kaya FM and Metro FM. They include DJ Wilson B Nkosi, T-Bose, Sentle, Bob Mabena and Geogie Munetsi. Tickets are priced from R100 per person at Computicket.
