COME and browse for bargains and one-of-a-kind finds at Stepping Stone Hospice’s yard sale on Saturday, June 24, from 9am until 3pm.
The sale will take place directly from the hospice’s retail depot, which is located at 14 Glen Albany Road, Raceview. Items on offer will include household and office furniture, books, book shelves and second-hand clothing. Please note that all sales will be cash only.
Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services receives no government funding and is totally reliant on the generosity of the community, public sector, fundraising efforts and the sale of second-hand goods. The hospice’s retail division – which went from a few makeshift shelves in an office, to two containers converted into a second-hand shop in New Market Park, to the newly-opened The Charity Shop in Alberton Mall – is proving to be indispensable in generating ongoing funding to help the organisation, as it continues to provide specialist care to those facing life-limiting illnesses in our communities.
