26 LUSITO Land will be held at a new and improved venue in Cayman Road, Alewynspoort, close to The Eye of Africa, from Wednesday, April 26, to Monday, May 1. Ticket prices: Adults R120, children and pensioners R50 and children under five, free. Tickets will be available at Computicket or at the entrance to the festival. There is free secure parking.

2 CALLING all cake decorators, The South African Cake Decorators Guild, Alberton branch, will meet again at the Dutch Reformed Church (NG Kerk), 23 Glen Avenue, Verwoerdpark, on May 2. Monthly meetings take place on the first Tuesday of every month, at 9.30am for 10am, until 12 noon. They are a group of men and women who share an interest in making and decorating beautiful cakes. 12 JOIN Alberton High School for their breakfast brunch on May 12 from 10am to noon, where you can listen to “the big man”, Jeremy Mansfield, talk about the effects the Trump era may have on the South African economy.
