ONE of cinema’s most beloved tales, Beauty and the Beast – the “tale as old as time” – will enchant moviegoers in Xtreme at Nu Metro the Glen from Friday, April 7.
These special pre-release screenings of the new live-action version of the Disney classic take place for six days only (all shows daily and exclusive to Xtreme at the Glen Nu Metro), a week before the movie’s general release nationwide on Thursday, April 13, ahead of the Easter weekend.
Xtreme is Nu Metro the Glen’s fully immersive Premium Large Format Screen-brand. This technologically advanced cinema will project Beauty and the Beast ahead of release on one of the largest, brightest screens in the city – with superior sound, along with refined RealD 3D projection equipment.
The live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic Beauty and the Beast is a stunning, cinematic event.
“Nu Metro’s special early engagement of this highly-anticipated blockbuster in our Xtreme cinemas will showcase the film in a truly immersive cinema environment that can’t be duplicated via any other platform or medium,” said Nu Metro Managing Executive, Nitesh Matai.

Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a Beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and recognise the kind heart of the true Prince within. The film’s main stars are Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston and Kevin Kline as Maurice (Belle’s father).
This all-time favourite Disney fairytale celebrates one of the most beloved stories ever told. It incorporates themes of love, friendship, good versus evil, mystery and suspenseful drama – along with moving music and spectacular special effects – transporting the viewer to a whole new world with an ultimate display of movie magic. It is a big screen movie experience guaranteed not only to touch you with a song in your heart, but also to bring back all the memories of when you first heard the story of the beauty and her beast – now remade for a contemporary generation of fans.
