Win Nu Metro Movie Tickets: La La Land
These special screenings of La La Land next Thursday will form part of Nu Metro’s first ladies-only pre-release screening event for 2017
NUMETRO Cinemas will be hosting South Africa’s first ever pre-release screenings of record-breaking Golden Globe-winner La La Land, as part of Girls’ Night Out (GNO), on Thursday, January 19 at 20:00. This means that cinemagoers (albeit ladies only) can see the film more than a week before its general release date, on January 27.
These special screenings of La La Land next Thursday, will form part of Nu Metro’s first ladies-only pre-release screening event for 2017, at Nu Metro The Glen (and other cinemas nationwide).
La La Land launched this year’s awards-season in glorious style, by breaking the record for the most Golden Globe Awards, winning seven prizes. It won every award it was nominated for – including Best Picture (musical or comedy), Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Score and Best Song. And now, Nu Metro is giving ladies across South Africa a first look at what all the fuss is about.
La La Land tells the story of Mia (Emma Stone) – an aspiring actress – and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams. It’s a high flying musical filled with euphoria, in the magical tradition of Hollywood classics – but it also has a distinct 21st Century energy to seduce contemporary audiences. It’s guaranteed to get everyone tapping their feet to the infectious music; to be mesmerised by its immaculate style, top-notch acting, touching story, brilliant screenplay and truly memorable ambience.
Apart from women being treated to the Golden Globe-winning film ahead of general release, there are a lot of extras to look forward to, on the night as well.
