Quinton Mostert, store manager at Food Lover’s Market, at the Mall @ Newmarket, shares useful tips on how to store and use your Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Storing it correctly at home is important. Keep your oil in a cool and dark cupboard or in the refrigerator, if you use it infrequently. Extra Virgin Oil should have limited exposure to oxygen, which could degrade the quality of the oil. Use oil soon after purchase and ensure that it is stored with a cap or lid.
