THE latest DC Comics blockbuster, ‘Suicide Squad’, starts showing at Nu Metro The Glen (and other cinemas nationwide) from Friday, August 5. The film stars Oscar nominee Will Smith, Oscar winner Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman and Oscar nominee Viola Davis.
A team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated super villains, with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, are sent off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity.
US intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. Once they realise they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability they inevitably fail. Will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Get ready to be blown away by over-the-top action, with superheroes giving new meaning to what it takes to be “bad”. Added to that, ‘Suicide Squad’ is also rumoured to include a cameo from Batman. The film links to the overall Justice League storyline (launched by ‘Batman VS Superman’ earlier this year).
