GHOSTBUSTERS hit cinemas nationwide on Friday, July 29. The all-female remake of this blockbuster classic has arrived just in time for Women’s Month. It will be showing in 3D at cinemas nationwide, including Scene Xtreme at Nu Metro The Glen.
Paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square.
The film’s cast also includes Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Charles Dance, Michael Kenneth Williams, and heartthrob Chris Hemsworth.
This popular movie-franchise pays tribute to the original 1980s hit film with in-jokes and cameos. It gives thrill-seeking comedy fans an experience not to be missed. A combination of ghosts, guns, gags and girl power. It stands on its own for a new generation of fans with great comedy, action, spectacular special effects. The critics are also loving it.
