Top artists at Klipkoppiefees 2016

IT is time to shake, rattle and roll, do the 'langarm' and sing along, or simply tap your feet to the beat of good music - whichever you prefer.

Yes, Klipkoppiefees 2016 brings you a line-up not to be missed from Friday, May 27, through to Sunday, May 29, when the festival draws to an end with a gospel show.

This festival, a fund-raiser for the community, through the community, is most definitely not just a music show. With activities throughout the weekend such as 4×4 routes, mountain bike challenges, fun run/walk, paintball, Chef Tiaan in action, loads of stalls to visit, a ‘watergat’ or two for thirsty individuals, outdoor exhibitions and a stalls selling a wide variety of dishes, there is something for everybody. Whether you are young or old, love music or the great outdoors, this is the place to be.

Friday, May 27:

Gates open at 12:00 with a merry-go-round and all sorts of activities for children.12:00 – 17:00: Ironman 4×4 route.

12:00 – 17:00: Test your skills at the SA Hunter’s shooting range.

12:00 – 20:00: Come and have fun at the paintball course.

18:00 – 18:45: Dominique.

19:00 – 19:45: Piet Pompies.

20:00 – 20:45: Brendan Peyper.

21:00 – 22:00: Francois van Coke.

Entrance for the day is R70 per adult and children under 12 free.

Saturday, May 28:

07:00: CPS mountain bike race.

07:30: Tutela (previously known as CMR – Christelike Maatskaplike Raad) fun run starts.

09:00 till late: Merry-go-round.

09:00 – 13:00: RSG 4×4 treasure hunt.

09:00 – 17:00: Extreme 4×4 for the not so faint at heart.

09:00 – 17:00: Ironman 4×4.

09:00 – 17:00: SA Hunter’s shooting range.

09:00 – 21:00: Paintball.

11:00 – 13:00: Braai competition for fathers and sons.

13:15 – 14:00: Dirk van der Westhuizen.

13:15: Food demonstration with Chef Tiaan.

14:15 – 15:00: Cordelia.

15:15 – 16:00: Willem Botha.

15:30: Food demonstration with Chef Tiaan.

16:15 – 17:00: Piet Pompies.

17:15 – 18:15: RSG 4×4 treasure hunt prize-giving.

18:15 – 19:00: Leah.

19:15 – 20:00: Christo and Cobus.

10:15 – 21:00: Pieter Koen.

21:15 – 22:00: Theus Jordaan.

An entrance fee of R100 per adult (children under the age of 12 free) will be charged for Saturday’s festivities.

Sunday, May 29:

Sunday brings you the normal family activities with a gospel music festival.

10:00 – 14:00: Iron man 4×4.

10:00 – 14:00: Paintball.

10:00 – 14:00: All other children’s activities.

10:00 – 14:00: Merry-go-round.

11:00 – 11:45: Soekie Krog.

12:00 – 13:30: Manne Wat Glo.

13:00: Food demonstartion with Chef Tiaan.

13:45 – 14:30: Joe Niemand.

14:45 – 15:30; Amor.

Entrance fee for Sunday is R50 per person with children under the age of 12 entering for free. Bring your friends and family and make the best of what Klipkoppiefees 2016 has to offer. Make your way to Meyerplaas, Fore Street, Alberton.

Safe parking at R20 per vehicle available on all three days.
