Vernon brought tears to everyone’s eyes

There was not a dry eye across the land.

Vernon Barnard’s  (22) audition for The Voice SA had everyone watching experiencing a lot of emotions with his performance of One Direction’s ‘Story of My Life’.  One of the coaches, Bobby van Jaarsveld, was in tears and visibly moved by the performance.

Vernon was born with glaucoma, a degenerative eye disease that leads to blindness. He could see reasonably well before he lost his sight at the age of six years old and underwent 16 operations before turning five.

Watch The Voice SA weekly on Sundays  at 17:00, M-Net, DStv channel 101.
