ONE Good Turn is a woodturners club for people of all ages who would like to learn to turn wood.
Experienced woodturners who wish to sharpen their skills are also welcome.
“Woodturning is the only discipline in woodwork where you can start a project and half an hour later walk away with a beautiful hand-made piece,” says Schalk van Niekerk, who runs the club.”Worldwide, woodturning is enjoying a resurgence with thousands of people taking up on woodturning as a hobby. One Good Turn meets on every second and third Saturday of the month, from 08:00 to 12:00, at 6 Combrinck Street, Alrode, Alberton.
