To promote the values of Yoga-a Global heritage today, the High Commissioner of India, along with the Indian Consulate General of India, Johannesburg, is organising an essay competition with the theme Yoga and Healthy Living.

ALBERTON – Essays can be sent to eventscgi@gmail.com along with contact details and date of birth of participant. The suggested word limit is 1 500 words.

The last date for receiving entries is June 15.

Entries will be considered in two age categories, below 16 years and above 16 years.

Attractive prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in each category. All participants will be recognised.

International Day of Yoga is being celebrated at Summer Place, 69 Melville Road, Hyde Park, Johannesburg, on Sunday, June 21, from 09:00 to 13:00, where a large number of yoga enthusiasts are expected to join. Winners will be announced on the day.
