Alberton and East Rand boxing fans show support for fight of the century
The Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao world title fight was dubbed the boxing fight of the century, but it exceeded even that hype.
ALBERTON – With the whole world watching them, the contenders raked in the kind of money which most people can only dream about.
While about three million households across the USA paid about R1 000 to watch the fight, boxing fans from Alberton and the East Rand gathered for a special viewing by the East Rand Veterans Boxing Association, at the Primrose Bowling Club.
