BASSOINIA – A lucky winner walked away with a once-off cash prize of R10 000 on March 5 at Senhor Calistos in Bassonia.
Owners, Jorge Calisto and Gareth Soma handed over the R10 000 reward money to Gaynor Duncan, who said she saw the competition details with her boyfriend at Calistos, Boksburg.
They immediately turned to each other and said that Gaynor should try her luck and post a #SenhorSelfie. To their surprise, she won.
“I feel rich, it’s like the most money I’ve had in my life. I’m going to use it to go see my sister in Abu Dhabi,” said an excited Gaynor.
Two other contestants, Brandon Mateu and Janine Truebody, who are regular customers at the Bassonia branch achieved runner-up positions. They didn’t walk away empty-handed though as they were each presented with Senhor Calistos vouchers.
“I thank everyone that entered, and it’s nice to see people taking part, thank you for the support. On the last minute we decided to give everyone a prize, because there are no losers here, only winners,” said Calistos Gillview owner, Jorge Calisto.
Gareth Soma, who owns Senhor Calistos Bassonia, said: “From Senhor Calsitos Bassonia we thank everyone who participated. There are no losers, because everyone was a winner and received something.”
