The group will be debut their 19th live DVD recording from April 3 to 5 at the Big Top Arena in Carnival City.
This year’s theme is Back to the Cross celebrating the starting point of the group and will be translated through a look back at old hymns. Joyous has been internationally recognised and includes languages from other African countries in their projects. They aim to accommodate every one of their audience with the different types of music they sing.
Joyous Celebration was born 19 years ago, in 1996, founded by Lindelani Mkhize, Ps. Jabu Hlongwane and Ps. Mthunzi Namba, all still part of this project. They gave birth to Joyous Celebration, not only as a brand, but also to a lot of Gospels singers who started with Joyous Celebration such as Ntokozo Mbambo, William Sejake, Ndivhuwo Matumba, Margaret Motsage, Sharon Dee, Vicky Vilakazi, Mahalia Buchanan and Thabo Mdluli to name a few.
