Lizeth Kotze gives advice about problems clients are facing.

ALBERTON – Lizeth Kotze living in Brackendowns has completed her international counselling diploma this year and is in the process of working towards her own practice.

She completed her degree in Psychology at the University of Pretoria (Tuks) in 2002. After a few years she moved to Sasolburg, Free State, where she worked in education for a couple of years, teaching languages; English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Economics and Life Skills on high school level.

She then ventured into business. She always had an interest in interior decorating and decided to get into it and qualified. She didn’t enjoy it and then decided to get back into the psychology sector.

Lizeth began trauma counselling from 2011 till 2012. In 2013 she wanted to study further, but was tired of her husband paying for her studies. There was an opportunity at a school in Winchester Hills, where she taught Mathematics, Afrikaans and life skills. Her salary was used to pay for the rest of her studies and she succeeded in completing her international counselling diploma.

She is in the process of setting up her business and preparing it for her clients. She is consulting privately at present. Lizeth is also planning to write a book that focuses on or is aimed at supporting family members or addicts.
