Family business comes to Alberton

A DRAPERY business was established on Pieter Uys Avenue and the Area’s Act gave the approval for the ABC company to proceed with business.

The company that specialises in drapery and related services began in the 1930’s, when Ebrahim Seedat’s father started this enterprise.

Ebrahim took over from his father in 1942. Yussuf, Brian’s brother, has been operating and continuing the legacy of their father. Ebrahim is known to the community as Brian, his nickname.

The store continued supplying the community with a variety of drapery, including school uniforms, shoes, shirts, trousers and more. The operation of the store has changed drastically and is only supplying school uniforms to township areas, according to Ebrahim.
