Experience a new level of shopping at Alberton City

Alberton City hosted an event to launch the new look of the shopping center.

ALBERTON – Alberton City Shopping Centre began its refurbishment in September 2013. The estimated cost of the refurbishment is R28 million. The last refurbishment took place in 2008.

The popular regional centre has served the local community for more than 25 years.

The refurbishment proceeded in two phases. Work began in September 2013 at Entrance 5.

The refurbishment of the common mall area on the upper level and the southern parking area formed part of the project‘s first phase. The first phase was completed in November 2013.

The second phase began in January 2014 and was completed in June 2014 and focused on the upper and lower levels.

The refurbishment included tiling, painting, lighting, balustrades, the relocation of escalators and staircases, signage and an upgrade of Entrance 2 and 7.

The management thanked the tenants for their support during the refurbishments.

  1. This is not a story, it’s a copy and paste of what the mall sent you guys, doesn’t make me at all interested in visiting the mall.
