Disney’s Maleficent enchants
Angelina Jolie plays the role of Maleficent in this Disney live action feature.
IN the 1959 Walt Disney animated adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, viewers got to see the story of Princess Aurora and the events that took place during her journey – she would prick her finger on a spindle and fall in a deep sleep only to be awakened by true love’s kiss.
On June 6, the Disney movie Maleficent was released at Numetro Cinema The Glen and tells the story from a different perspective.
The atmosphere is fantasy-orientated and retains elements of the original classic. This film, however is a live action one with some nifty CGI effects including mystical creatures. The movie focuses more on the stages of Maleficent’s adolescence, surroundings and what it was that actually drove her to curse the child.
Angelina Jolie’s appearance as the character consisted of prosthetic cheekbones, various outfits and horns using a variety of makeup by a well known cosmetics brand.
