Kyle Grant on his musical journey

Kyle Grant with his artisitc side as a musician and actor proves that talent and skill are one.

ALBERTON – Kyle Grant, a South African artist and Alberton resident who began singing since the age of 4-years-old became ADAM’s added addition in January and was introduced as one of the members to the fans. He immediately found his rhythm within the group as he comes from a musical background of both parents who are musicians.

He not only has the talent to sing but has also participated in many other productions of which he proved himself as an outstanding actor, singer and dancer in stage productions such as Chess – The Musical, Sunset Boulevard, Hairspray, Dirty Dancing, and Stuur Groete aan Mannetjies Roux. He also played the role of Schalk in Egoli during 2009.

Kyle, together with his fellow band members, have big plans to take ADAM to bigger heights this year.

“We have to keep in mind to accommodate for the public. There are emotions and soul that goes into it but we also have to stick to a certain formula that the public can relate to,” he explained.

Hugo Ludik says that dynamics within a group is very important and they are very satisfied with their choice in Kyle Grant as their new member.

The process involved of how Kyle came to be a apart of the ADAM group was when Hugo started playing with the idea of a new group with male voices, he involved Reynardt and then they started searching for their third member.

After Joe Foster left the group at the end of 2013, a new opportunity for a third member opened and Kyle jumped at the opportunity.

Kyle describes the first moment that he sang with Reynardt and Hugo as a “holy moment”, especially because their voices blended so well together.

Kyle appears in the music video “Sal oorlog vir jou maak.” This song is currently charting on radio hit parades nationwide.

Kyle’s input will be welcomed in the group with his musical inspiration. An exciting year awaits this group. They are currently writing songs for their third album due for release later in 2014. Although they dream of a DVD, together they want ADAM’s music to reach more people first and they will be touring throughout South African again this year. They will be opening for the group Air Supply in April this year, when this world famous group tours South Africa and they will also perform at Huisgenoot Skouspel and Huisgenoot Skouspel Plus later in the year.
