JOHANNESBURG – Today Lovetodogood, South Africa’s homegrown online crowd funding platform for community-based organizations announces it will be handing over a cheque to Childline Gauteng.
Only a year since Lovetodogood started, the platform has raised R500 000 in funds for various organisations all over the country.
One of the organisations recent success stories came in the form of an inspiring individual named Carlo Gibson; a local Jhb designer who has a passion for making a difference. “A little girl in my apartment block got raped recently, we took her to the police and got her trauma counseling, since then I’ve been passionate about making a difference.
Lovetodogood was the easiest way to do it. It makes charities accessible to individuals like myself. Childline and Sunlight Safe House are doing an excellent job in our community with really limited resources. With the help of my generous friends and family we managed raise a significant amount of money” Carlo commented.
In recognition of this outstanding achievement and unwavering display of the dedication and goodwill shown towards social development and child welfare. Lovetodogood, is proud to handover a cheque amounting to R95443.35 to Childline and Sunlight Safe House for the funds raised by Carlo Gibson and our Do-gooders.
