Scares at the Alberton Rugby Club

Guests of the Alberton Rugby Club went all out for Halloween as many characters were seen dressing to the occasion.

VERWOERDPARK – Halloween was the theme on November 1 when people from all walks of life joined in the spooky and a tad crazy celebrations.

Most of the people who were present dressed up to the occasion competing for the best dressed prize. Prizes were given to the best dressed man and woman and the best dressed couple.

Guests who did not dress up could have their face painted at the door by a professional face painting artist. The evening was filled with fun for both family and friends.

New friendships were also made with people painting one half of the face and matching it to another’s face. A shark was also very prominent after the Shark’s victory in the Curry Cup.

Alberton Rugby Club is under new management; Stefan Fourie and Mark Assante together with their staff do a profound job in running the club and always make their guests feel welcome.

“We, the husbands, saw the true characters of our wives coming out after the sun went down,” said Stefan with a friendly grin.

They have food specials such as 500g T-bone, eisbein and 300g rump steak all at R49.95. They will run a special in January for their eisbein which will be sold at R39.95 for 750g to 1kg.

There are also numerous exciting events lined up for next year. “We have a great management team. Pine Pienaar, waiters and barmen all do a good job,” said Mark and Stefan.
