Kid’s delight at AMCARE Christmas Night Market

The Annual AMCARE Night Christmas Market, taking place at 15 Ascot Road in New Market Park, marks the start of the festive season in our community and the fun kicks off at 16:00.

NEWMARKET – From balloon sculpting, cup cake decorating, and puppet shows to a movie corner – this awaits all children at the Annual AMCARE “Light up the Night Christmas Market” on Friday November 29.

The AMCARE team this year decided to allocate an area where children can play to their heart’s content under adult supervision while parents are doing some serious shopping. For an entrance fee of R35, the child will also receive a hot dog, a packet of chips and a juice.

The Annual AMCARE Night Christmas Market, taking place at 15 Ascot Road in New Market Park, marks the start of the festive season in our community and the fun kicks off at 16:00.

The now famous Tree of Remembrance will be switched on at 19:00 on this day and the lights will continue to shine throughout the month of December.

Traditionally this is the market where Albertonians are guaranteed to find that special Christmas gift for the special people in their lives. In between the shopping, they can also enjoy the entertainment lined up which this year includes ventriloquist Gareth Lush, a puppet show and the popular band Crossroads, or enjoy a cuppa in the Tea Garden.

This event is one of the main fundraising events for AMCARE, a multi-purpose health and social development organization servicing poor and vulnerable persons in the Greater Alberton area of Ekurhuleni.
