You are a breastfeeding star

Netcare Clinton Hospital promoted a slogan that day, “Breastfeeding – Mother’s gift, baby’s birth right.”

NETCARE Clinton Hospital celebrated World Breastfeeding week at Netcare Clinton Hospital’s maternity ward with the theme “You are a breastfeeding star”.

The purpose for the day was not only to celebrate the success of breastfeeding mothers, but also to share the benefits of breastfeeding with mothers who are going to give birth. Netcare Clinton Hospital invited mothers, and mothers to be, to their maternity unit to walk the red carpet and receive their certificate as a Breastfeeding Star on the “Breastfeeding Walk of Fame”.

Mothers imprinted their hands and their baby’s footprints on the certificate. The hospital also offered mothers the opportunity to take family photos, while displaying their certificate.

Netcare Clinton Hospital promoted a slogan that day, “Breastfeeding – Mother’s gift, baby’s birth right.”

Sister Denise Wilding told the RECORD, “Breastfeeding optimally gives the best growth, nutrients, boosts immunity, is easily digestible, less allergies, supports good jaw and teeth development, promotes bonding, is time saving, cost effective, effective weight loss, stimulates emotional security and gives communication through eye contact.”
