Alberton duo hit the mark at darts championships

Hugo Deysel and Shawn Hogan clinched second place in the doubles over 200 pairs.

The 2024 South African National Darts Championships saw two Alberton players come out on top.

Hugo Deysel from Florentia enjoyed a 72.2% win rate during the event, playing over 70 games in the first division and achieving a 62% win rate in the provincial events from just over 50 games.

Deysel and Shawn Hogan are both competing in the ProDSA series as well. Deysel and Hogan clinched second place in the doubles senior men’s pair section which consisted of about 400 men.

Both Deysel and Hogan were selected to form part of the Protea darts team to represent South Africa at the AUR5 tournament on August 27 in neighbouring Eswatini.
