Alberton JKA students win 65 medals in SA JKA Gauteng Champs

After winning 65 medals at the SA JKA Gauteng Championships in the first quarter of this year, Alberton JKA students will compete for the national team at the championships.

Thirty-six Alberton JKA students were selected to compete for the Karate Syndicate at the SA JKA Gauteng Championships.

They succeeded, winning 43 medals – eight gold, 12 silver, and 23 bronze.

Besides the medal winners who were chosen automatically, an additional 22 qualifications were added, making 65 qualifications for kata and kumite participants.

Medal winners and qualifiers will get SA JKA Gauteng regional colours and represent SA JKA Gauteng at the SA JKA Nationals in May.

Classes for all ages are held Monday to Thursday, with Dinky classes for the little ones aged four to seven.
