Join the adrenaline-fueled action at Red Star Raceway on November 4, where you will witness a full day of heart-pounding racing.

The league and teams are uniting to collect donations for Kitty and Puppy Haven, an incredibly worthy cause. It is said to be a day filled with speed, skill, and giving back to the community.

“Keep an eye out for the Kitty and Puppy Haven banners alongside the Formula Libre banners and bring along any donations you can spare for this noble endeavour. They are in need of canned cat or dog food and anything else you can contribute to support this amazing cause,” Stan-Leigh Hattingh said.

Alberton’s finest racers, Rob van Aarle, Blane de Meilon, and Bruce van Niekerk are in full mode, perfectly prepping their cars for the grand finale of the Inland Historic Tour series. The spectacular showdown is set to unfold at the Red Star Raceway near Delmas this weekend.

Meyersdal’s Rob van Aarle is all set to take on the challenging Ben Morgenrood Historic Pursuit series in his trusty 1969 Ford Escort Mk1.

“With an impressive overall victory at the last heart-pounding race at Zwartkops, he has oozing confidence for yet another strong finish or perhaps another remarkable overall victory. To sharpen his competitive edge, Rob also had an outing in the Lemuna 24-hour endurance race at Red Star this weekend, so he should have no problem getting his eye in for this weekend’s races,” Hattingh said.

Brackendowns’s Blane de Meilon had a tough encounter with mechanical gremlins during the last round at Zwartkops.

According to Hattingh, he has been burning the midnight oil, working diligently to iron out his mechanical woes.

“Rest assured he is gearing up to be a top contender in the Formula Monoposto class, ready to unleash his Sting SuperVee. Bruce van Niekerk, representing Brackenhurst, is set to shine in the Formula Monoposto class. His Swim Seal Omega ‘91 has been a consistent performer, racking up a string of impressive results in recent races,” he explained.

Van Niekerk is determined to close the season on a high note.

Hattingh said locals should stay tuned for a comprehensive race report following this thrilling event.
