Alberton North congregants enjoy a good game of bowls

Members of an Alberton North church, Apostoliese Geloofsending, hosted their second biggest social game at the Alberton Bowling Club on March 30.

Congregants of the Apostoliese Geloofsending enjoyed a day on the Alberton Bowling Club’s greens when they took on each other in an informal game of bowls.

The game was organised by Chris Rossouw, a church member, with the help of the Alberton Bowling Club, to get church members to have fun and learn more about the sport.

“This was an informal team-building event for the members of the church to get together on a different level. We don’t get the time to interact in an informal way like this, that’s why we needed to host the game. Many of our senior members are lonely and appreciate such outings,” he said.
