WATCH: Rugby nations get ready for next world cup

Altogether 12 Al-packages have been rolled out and fans can book their seats.

Though the 2019 Rugby World Cup (RWC) Sprinkbok win is still a fresh memory, the rugby nations of the world are gearing themselves for the next RWC.

The International Rugby Board (IRB) RWC in France takes place from September 8 till October 28, 2023.

The opening ceremony match tickets between hosting country France and New Zealand on September 8 in Paris sold out within two hours.

The Springboks will take on Scotland in their opening match on September 10 in Marseilles.

The quarter-finals will start on October 14 and 15, while the semi-finals will take place on October 20 and 21. The final will take place on October 28, while the third and fourth place play-offs will be on October 27.

Sportsnation Travel is allowing Springboks fans to book their seats for the matches. They have put together a lucrative touring schedule and South African fans can get their pick of the schedules on offer.

“We can adjust according to the fans’ specifications, but we have opted to go for a two-match schedule throughout the world cup,” said founder and CEO of Sportsnation Malusi Mbambo.

“The fans can choose from any of those schedules or ask to modify them to fit in with their plans.

“The pandemic hit everyone in the travel industry hard, including our small business, Sportsnation. On a winter’s evening during lockdown, I decided to grab our future by the horns and complete the tender to become an OTA for Rugby World Cup 2023.

Fast forward six months, we have built up an experienced team and we are launching our packages for the Rugby World Cup 2023 with our new look and feel. I couldn’t be more excited,” said Mbambo.

Al Paco, Sportsnation’s mascot and firm rugby fan, is thrilled to be herding the Alpacaneers (Sportsnation fans) to bring the spirit of Africa to France in 2023.

Altogether 12 Al-packages have been rolled out and fans can book their seats.
