The UV Run at Rietvlei Zoo Farm

A percentage of the proceeds go to the charity you chose when you purchased your ticket.

ARE you ready to be absorbed into a 5km night run like no other in South Africa?

Glow4Events is proud to bring you The UV Run on March 30 at Rietvlei Zoo Farm, Johannesburg. It has a unique twist and challenge that will have your body invigorated, your mind blown, your soul rejuvenated and your spirit overwhelmed.

Registration starts from 4pm where you can make your way into the Glow Village where there will be a variety of vendors to browse and things to keep you entertained. Entertainment includes the Bug Zone, a special area where your children (glow worms and glow bugs) can enjoy face painting, balloon modelling and other various things to entertain them while you wait for The UV Run to start at approximately 7pm.

At the same time, you will be preparing yourself with the UV paint included in your ticket price, as well as any other accessories you purchased from the Glow Store on the day.

Not your normal run

Once the countdown begins you will realise this is not like any other run you have done before and the anticipation of what else is to come will continue to grow. You will realise you are in for an experience not to be forgotten. Not to mention that a percentage of the proceeds go to the charity you chose when you purchased your ticket.

You will be greeted with five Glow Zones along the way. The first being at the start and then three more along the trail and the final one at the finish. The twists to each zone you will only experience on the night of your run as we don’t want to give too much away. All we will say is please wear things that you don’t mind getting a bit of colour “paint” on, wet, etc. As for the challenge, well that’s easy, trying to stop yourself from wanting to run it more than just once or to actually move onto the next Glow Zone and finish the trail. Luckily this is a fun run and not a timed trial, so the point is to enjoy yourself and take your time, not finish in record time.

Early bird tickets cost R180 per adult and R200 on the day. Tickets for children ages five to 13 years cost R60 if bought early, otherwise R80 on the day.
