WBA super flyweight and Pan African heavyweight titles on the line

WBA Pan African titles on the line.

With two successful Africa Boxing events held at eSwatini this year, the kingdom is beckoning once again for the tenth edition of Africa Boxing on November 2 at the Royal Swazi Spa Resort.

FOX Sports, the global leader in premium sports broadcasting, has to date crowned eight champions and one of these was at the Royal Swazi Spa Resort, a venue that always plays host to the Africa Boxing tournaments in eSwatini.

This latest fight bill will feature boxers from South Africa and Malawi.

South Africa’s Cecil Maluleka, Pieter de Klerk and Mbuso Rini, will make their professional debut at Africa Boxing 10.

The WBA Pan African super flyweight titleholder Sikho Nqothole will defend his title. He is pitted against Sabelo Ngebinyane. Nqothole is rated as number four in South Africa while Ngebinyane is rated third.

The twelve-rounder is set to be action-packed with all eyes on who comes out the winner.

Another title is up for grabs. The vacant WBA Pan African heavyweight title will see Justice Siliga take on Flo Simba from Alberton over twelve rounds. Silinga’s fight record stands at six wins, one loss with Simba having won 14 and lost five. With Simba’s fight record standing at more than double that of Siliga, the bout will be a test of willpower and skill for Siliga.

Kyle de Klerk, director of Commercial and Business: FOX Sports Africa said: “This is our third event in the Kingdom of eSwatini. We are excited to be back with three pro-debut fighters and two WBA title fights. The tenth edition of Africa boxing has a total of six fights, all with the best local boxing talent. This event is our penultimate fight for the year. The growth we have seen in the past ten months has been astronomical. We are working closely with our partners to not only broadcast via traditional channels but via new media including our own Facebook Channel and Cell C Black.”

He continued: “The appetite for fresh, live sports content is phenomenal worldwide. We continually aim to expand our offering for viewers. With all the fights sanctioned by the WBA (World Boxing Association), FOX Sports Africa is working closely with local boxing associations to broadcast exclusive high-quality production to its millions of viewers.”

FOX Sports Africa, working closely with the WBA, aims to promote local and African boxers on an international platform.

Africa Boxing will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 2 and streamed via FOX Sports Africa’s Facebook page and Cell C Black on November 2 from 8pm.
