GALLERY: BMX riders show their stuff in Alrode

BMX riders from all over South Africa took to track in Alrode on June 30 and July 1.

THE National Age Group Series was held at the Alrode BMX Club on June 30 and July 1.

The event saw BMX riders from all over South Africa compete against each other in highly contested gates with riders representing various age groups ranging from the five and under category to the very best of the elites. Both male and female riders made their presence felt.

HARD AROUND: Spectators’ cheers of “Peddle harder” sounded out as the racers went round the bend.

To cheering and applause, the riders took to the top of the track to put their very best tyre forward and peddled hard to reach the coveted number one spot in their age groups.

GETTING OVER IT: Young riders took to the bumps with speed.
FUN: The day was enjoyed by all doing the sport they love.
JUMPING TO THE LEAD: Riders in the National Age Group Series jostled for position coming up to the first jump.
