Top bowlers come to Alberton

The Bowls South Africa Tournament started on June 20 at Albeton Bowling Club.

The prestigious Bowls South Africa Mixed Pairs Tournament kicked off at Alberton Bowls Club with a sunny morning on June 20.

The tournament sees some of the best players from districts all over the country come together for four days of furiously contested matches. Play will continue each day with three games played on the day. A team consists of both a male and female player from each district.

The final will be played on June 23.

NATIONAL: The flags of South Africa and all participating areas were ceremoniously raised to start the day’s proceedings.
