THE South’s very own Cindy Wills from Obstacle Course Training South (OCT) has scooped up the win at the main event at The Beast Race in Muldersdrift.
She participated in the Savage elite category. This category is a 10km trail run with approximately 50 obstacles. Wills managed to finish this in 1:36 bringing home a solid win.
Brandon Hulley, also of OCT South, participated in The Beast Race on Saturday and Jump City on Sunday bringing back second places in both races.
The previous week OCT South athletes managed to scoop up another four podium positions in different disciplines at the Toyota Warrior race. Coach Rudi Delport said, “Obstacle course racing has exploded in South Africa and I am thrilled to know that OCT South is right up there with all the big names. I am super proud of our team. Their training is paying off and big things await these guys and girls.”
OCT South will start focusing on sending a team to OCR World Championships to represent them and South Africa later this year. Thanks to our sponsors NPL Sports Nutrition and Organi-Fix for making all this possible.
