Learner eyes bodybuilding trophy

Being a family sport for the tsotetsi family of Katlehong, his elder brother, Sipho, obtained a gold in the senior section.

PEACE Tsotetsi, a Grade 11 learner of Eden Park Secondary School won a gold medal for bodybuilding and will be going to Paris, France.

“We as learners and staff are very proud of Peace’s achievements and we wish him the best of luck when he goes to Paris in December,” says principal, Liza Naudé.

On September 2, Peace participated in the IFBB South African National Championships for bodybuilding.

The competition was held in Mpumalanga where he won gold in the junior section of the competition.

Bodybuilding is a family sport for the Tsotetsi family of Katlehong. His older brother, Sipho, obtained gold in the senior section.

“Bodybuilding and my school work are my lifestyle. These are the two things I do day and night – other things get cast aside. I thank my school for the support everyone is giving me.

“I am still grateful to one teacher who spoke sense into me when I failed Grade 10. I won’t forget him,” said Peace.

With a broad, child-like smile Peace said he is sure he will win the competition in Paris and bring back the trophy.
