Amateur golfers eye bumper prize money

Enter the Road to Mauritius Charity golf tournament.

THE Road to Mauritius leads through the Eye of Africa Charity golf tournament for all amateur golfers to enter.

A bumper prize money valued at R100 000, which includes a holiday in Mauritius, is at stake for any amateur golfer who enters the four tournaments at the Eye of Africa.

The Road to Mauritius Charity golf tournament will take place at Eye of Africa on August 17. September, October and November dates are still to be announced. The finals will take place in November.

The golf tournament will be hosted by BMW Golf Cup International World Cup 2012 winner, Kevan Hunter, CEO of Acoustic Insurance and has the aim to raise funds for various children’s homes in and around Johannesburg.

The tournament will be open to all amateur golfers nationally and can enter through Eye of Africa golf section.

Charities who will benefit from the funds raised are uMephi Welfare Council and ABC Kids Children’s home.

The Eye of Africa golf course is a Greg Norman designed par 72 championship course which spans over 6 895m.
