Alberton tennis player makes Bracken High proud

Eight provinces played in the tournament.

A LEARNER from Bracken High leads his team to a silver medal at the South African National Tennis Championships.

Michael Baxter, who was named the captain of the Gauteng boys u-17 tennis team, travelled to Durban with his team where they played from July 9 to 15.

Eight provinces played in the tournament and the Gauteng tennis team were second only to the Western Cape team.

Michael won all his matches except against the Western Cape player who came first in the competition.

“Michael played extremely well and was complimented on his good sportsmanship. Well done Michael,” said Graham Dinkelman from the school.
