This event will also pay tribute to one of oval-track racing legends and crowd favourite Harry van der Spuij.

Van der Spuij is well known to patrons as “Dirty Harry” for his tongue-in-cheek 2’s up naughty antics at various circuits around the country and also in the USA.

Harry raced midgets as well as V8 sprints back in the day and helped many sprint car drivers over the years here in SA.

Plenty of V8 action from the outlaw V8 sprints cars will ensure all the high-power thrills. A host of oval saloons classes will also be racing, including the 1600 stock rods, 1660 modified saloons, 2L hot rods, Lexus class and super saloons.

Open-wheelers will include the micro midgets, and Formula 2 midgets

Gates open at 10:00 and racing starts at 16:00.

Entry fees are R65 for adults and R30 for children aged six to twelve years. Embankment parking vehicle is only R40.

Sufficient food and refreshments will be on sale at the circuit.
