Tri-Club bowls: Interaction between three clubs in Alberton

The Tri-Club bowls tournament which is held at the Reading Bowling Club took place on Monday, May 2 where clubs from Alberton faced each other.

Three clubs from Alberton met on the bowling greens to determine the eventual winner. Alberton Bowling Club, Reading Bowling Club and Brackenhurst Bowling Club competed for the trophy.

Some nine years ago Alberton club member, John McCardle initiated this incentive on the Worker’s Day public holiday and currently all are enjoying a game of bowls at the respective clubs.

Young and old enjoy the day out at the bowls while intense competition takes place between the club members. Alberton Bowling Club walked away with the laurels and the president, Tienie Gerber was presented with the trophy.
