ALBERTON Cricket Club honoured those players who performed exceptionally well during the season at their annual awards evening held at the club on Friday, May 6.

The club has an interesting season coming up as it was announced by the club chairman Stef Duvenage that from the new season the club will not be falling under the Gauteng Cricket Union but rather the Easterns Cricket Union.

This will mean that they will not only play against teams that they have not faced previously but also will play at new grounds.

The club has a mix of youth and experience and has both new players at the club and some old ones returning, so it is exciting times.

There were a few exceptional achievements for the past season, including Ruan Botha who scored an incredible 190 runs in one of his innings.

Well done to all involved.
