Alberton Bowling Club hosted Easter Tournament

ALBERTON Bowling Club hosted a delightful Easter Tournament which took place over three days, from Saturday, March 26, to Monday, March 28.

Although the competing field consisted of 14 teams, there was nothing wrong with the spirit and sportsmanship that was displayed by all taking part.

The quality and standard of the bowls was very high with several Ekurhuleni Inter District Players and a Springbok Bowler among the players. Donovan Ramage, as representative for Perfect Delivery, attended and handed over the first prize of R8 000, sponsored by Perfect Delivery.

First prize was won by the Brakpan Mines Bowling Club Team, skippered by Wade Ferguson. Runners-up were Barry Wardle, Martin Lindecke, Anton Vermeulen and Frank Alexandre from Alberton Bowling Club. Ashley van der Muller made a very gracious speech on behalf of the winning team.
