Johan is the strongest

Strong men compete.

THE Brotherhood Strongman competition took place on Saturday, 27 February at the Alberton Mall. According to the founder, Peter McGonigle, they hold events in and around Johannesburg.

“We are trying to build a brand that can add extra entertainment to existing events.”

The winner of Saturday’s event was Johan van Loggenberg (Loggies) with 51 points. In second place was Werner Brits (Buffalo). Hector Theko (Big Daddy) came in third, Jean van der Have (Wit Mamba) came in fourth, Abel Kasongo (AB) came in fifth, Jonathan Blundell (Boogy Man) came in sixth, Wikus Joubert (Viking) came in seventh place, Ferdinand Fester (Longman) came in eighth, Norman Bowley (Flash) came in ninth and Steven Swanepoel (Gladiator) took 10th place. These men got the attention of many people.

These men provided much entertainment for the excited spectators.

Rajul Maharaj from Alberton Motors GM handed over the trophies. Peter also thanked all their sponsors of the day.
