All roads will lead to Alberton on Sunday, November 29, for the running of the 34th Alberton half-marathon and 10km road race from the Alberton Sport Stadium in Verwoerd Park.

ALBERTON – All roads will lead to Alberton on Sunday, November 29, for the running of the 34th Alberton half-marathon and 10km road race from the Alberton Sport Stadium in Verwoerd Park.

Both the 21.1 km and 10 km races will start at 06:00 whilst the 4km fun run will start at 06:10.

Late entries will still be accepted on race day from 04:30 at the Alberton Athletics Club.

Pre-entered online race numbers may be collected on Saturday, November 28, from 09:00 to 14:00 at the club and from 04:30 on race day.

Entry fees for late entries are R100 for the 21km race and R25 for the temporary license; R80 for the 10km race and R20 for the temporary license. Grand-masters pay only R40 and the 4km fun run costs R20 per entry.

The cut-off time is three hours for the half-marathon and medals will go to the first 1 500 finishers. There will be equal prize-money for men and women in the different categories.

Prize-giving will take place at 08:00 for the 10km and 09:00 for the 21.1km.
